The Opportunity

Demand.io is a profitable, founder-led consumer AI commerce player driving $1B in annual GMV. We are the team behind SimplyCodes (the #1 AI-powered savings tool) and Product.ai (emerging Axiomatic Intelligence shopping assistant).

We are seeking a Product Designer to operate as a High-Fidelity Architect. This is not a standard "ticket-taking" design role; it is a high-leverage position for a systems thinker who combines elite visual craft with the logic of a product engineer. You will not just "skin" features; you will define the interface physics of a new class of AI-driven commerce tools.

We are moving beyond "Search" and building "Adjudication"—an engine that determines the truth about products. We need a designer who can visualize Trust, Certainty, and Intelligence without resorting to marketing fluff.

What You Will Build

You will not be writing tickets for minor features. You will be architecting the strategic engines of the company.

1. The Intelligence Layer (Product.ai): You will design the "Glass Box" UI for our intelligence engine. Your challenge is to visualize "Thinking"—showing the user how the AI reached a conclusion (Evidence Traces, Confidence Scores, Logic Chains) in a way that feels biological and intuitive, not like a database.
2. High-Velocity Transaction Layers (SimplyCodes): You will reimagine the transaction layer of the company—the SimplyCodes consumer utility. You will design for high-speed interaction models (Browser Extensions, Mobile App overlays) where friction is the enemy. You will bridge the gap between "Utility" (getting the coupon) and "Identity" (feeling like an insider).
3. Scalable Design Systems: You will codify a unified design language that spans B2C apps, B2B dashboards, and AI interfaces. You will enforce "Systematic Consistency" while allowing for "Local Innovation." You treat your design files like code—clean, componentized, and scalable.
4. AI-Native Workflows: You will not just design for AI; you will design with AI. You are expected to integrate LLMs, generative tools, and automated workflows into your daily process to achieve 10x velocity. You view AI as a force multiplier for your craft, not a threat to it.

• You Are a Systems Thinker. You do not design one-off screens. You design frameworks, patterns, and object models that scale. You think in "Components" and "States," not just "Pages."
• You Have Technical Empathy. You understand the constraints of the medium (CSS, React, Mobile Human Interface Guidelines). You design things that can actually be built. An HCI background or technical education is a massive signal.
• You Reject Incrementalism. You are bored by "optimizing the button color." You hunt for "Zero-to-One" innovations. You want to envision and execute big, structural changes.
• You Are High-Agency. You do not wait for a Product Manager to write a perfect spec. You help define the spec. You own the outcome, not just the Figma file.

Compensation & Ownership

We operate as a high-performance studio, not a typical corporation. We share the upside directly with the builders.

• Base Salary: $200,000 – $280,000. We target the 80th percentile to attract 1-of-1 talent. Your base covers your life; your equity builds your freedom.
• Profit Participation (PIUs): You aren't just an employee; you are a partner. We grant Profits Interest Units (PIUs), giving you true ownership and a share of the company's operating profit. You earn real cash flow distributions as we grow—not just at a theoretical exit—all within a structure designed for tax efficiency to maximize your take-home wealth.
