Join our dynamic team as an Event Security Officer and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and event premises. You will be responsible for maintaining order, preventing incidents, and responding swiftly to emergencies with professionalism and confidence. Duties

• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and perform regular patrols of event areas to monitor activity and identify potential security risks.
• Manage access control systems to verify credentials, perform background checks on staff and vendors, and ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted zones.
• Respond promptly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports, managing conflict de-escalation, and executing emergency response procedures as needed.
• Perform physical security tasks including heavy lifting, manual handling, and patrolling perimeters to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
• Utilize law enforcement techniques such as firearm handling, Taser use, and conflict management to address disruptive behavior effectively.
• Provide first aid and CPR when necessary; operate AED devices confidently to assist injured persons during emergencies.
• Enforce compliance with security regulations by conducting thorough searches, performing background checks on personnel, and maintaining security logs diligently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles within events, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
• Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and trained in emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform physical security duties such as patrolling large areas, heavy lifting, manual handling, and maintaining a visible security presence.
• Excellent conflict de-escalation skills coupled with the ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and firearm handling is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to compliance with all security regulations and protocols.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
