Job Summary
Provides overall direction and guidance to the manufacturing operational activities of the organization with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability, within a safe work environment, as well as day-to-day leadership and management to all company operations functions to delivery of high-quality company products to production plan. Plans, directs and controls all activities necessary to achieve the objectives of our customers and our Company. This position is responsible for Production Planning, Procurement (Direct Materials & MRO), Supervisors of Shop Floor personnel, Shipping and Receiving.
Responsibilities
· Manage the Manufacturing and Support Operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
· Implement programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit.
· Provide direction and structure for operating units.
· Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
· Develop and implement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
· Provide mentoring and guidance to others.
Skills
· Skilled in all aspects of Manufacturing, such as fabrication, welding, forming and machining processes
· Working knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel and ISO Quality System requirements.
· Working knowledge of ERP Planning Systems to ensure capacity-based scheduling and attainment and Procurement activities to ensure best overall purchase cost.
· Skilled in development and implementation of lean/continuous improvement initiatives
· Skilled in interpreting financial statements.
· Skilled in managing Quality, Safety and Environmental Systems.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners.
· Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Ability to lead and develop a team
Requirements
· 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience is required, with an emphasis in at least one of the following: contract fabrication and machining, aerospace and sheet metal assembly, or heat exchanger manufacturing.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.
· Industry training and certifications are a plus.
