Position Summary
The HRIS Expert serves as a subject matter expert and project lead for HRIS-related initiatives, operating with a high degree of autonomy. This role is responsible for supporting HRIS operations, ensuring data integrity, optimizing system functionality, and leveraging technology solutions to support HR processes across a multi-site manufacturing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily HRIS operations, projects, and system initiatives.
- Partner with Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll, and other business functions to support and improve HR systems and processes.
- Collaborate with leadership, managers, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and gain alignment on projects and initiatives.
- Review project plans and coordinate activities across multiple functions and locations.
- Assign, monitor, and review the work of HRIS team members and systems specialists.
- Maintain HR data security, accuracy, integrity, and overall system effectiveness.
- Design, manage, and support employee data processes, reporting structures, and data management solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and support standard and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, and process documentation.
- Lead system testing efforts for upgrades, enhancements, and configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS-related issues while providing timely support to end users.
- Oversee complex system processes, methodologies, and functional initiatives.
- Deliver user training on system functionality and best practices; develop training materials and user documentation as needed.
- Generate data summaries, analytics, and statistical reporting to support strategic planning and business decisions.
- Manage user security access and ensure compliance with established data governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes, automate workflows, and improve system integrations.
- Stay current with HRIS trends, technologies, and industry best practices to recommend and implement improvements.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Education and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience
- 6–8 years of experience supporting Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, including system administration, development, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits administration, and performance management.
- Experience leading or participating in full lifecycle HCM system implementations.
- Experience with enterprise HRIS platforms preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas/functions.
- Experience with HR reporting and business intelligence tools preferred.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar systems is a plus.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
