SCHEDULE: DAY SHIFT - 3:00 AM - 1:30 PM, MONDAY TO THURSDAY; EXPECTED OVERTIME ON FRIDAYS - 8 HOURS
TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:
- MUST POSSESS GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS IN A MANUFACTURING SETTING.
- MUST POSSESS GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS.
- STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND COMMITMENT TO PRODUCING QUALITY WORK.
- ABILITY TO APPLY COMMON SENSE UNDERSTANDING TO CARRY OUT WRITTEN OR ORAL INSTRUCTIONS.
- ABILITY TO ADAPT AND BE CROSS-TRAINED TO LEARN ALL JOB DUTIES.
- STABLE WORK TENURE IN PREVIOUS WORK HISTORY IS STRONGLY PREFERRED.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily operations in one or more of the following casting functions:
---> Core making - form the internal surfaces of castings.
--->Mold making - form the external surfaces of castings.
---> Mold closing - assemble cores and molds into complete mold assemblies.
---> Melting - prepare molten metal from scrap steel/raw materials, adjust chemistry and temperature.
---> Pouring - transfer molten metal into mold cavities.
---> Shakeout - remove core and mold sand from castings and reclaim sand.
---> Casting cleaning - remove gates, risers, fins, and surface defects; abrasive blast surfaces; inspect and repair castings.
- Operate equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and loaders as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
