Executive Housekeeper

Duties

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping staff, providing clear direction, training, and support to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and quality control procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Oversee daily cleaning operations across all areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, laundry facilities, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement to optimize operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels, address deficiencies promptly, and uphold the property’s appearance standards.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, leadership in team supervision, and recognition of staff achievements.

Skills

• Extensive experience in custodial services with a strong background in industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning environments.
• Proven staff supervision and team management skills with previous supervisory or managerial experience in hospitality or janitorial settings.
• Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively and motivate team members.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and cleaning & sanitation management practices.
• Ability to oversee laundry operations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
• Customer service orientation with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests through impeccable housekeeping standards.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in housekeeping operations.
