Position Summary
Delta Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Emergency Department team. This role provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the emergency room setting and plays a critical role in triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing patient management.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.

Triage patients and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.

Perform focused assessments of chief complaints in a timely manner according to established triage guidelines.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Collect blood samples and other specimens as needed.

Clean and dress wounds and assist with procedures.

Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes.

Maintain and manage emergency room supplies and equipment.

Facilitate patient flow through the emergency care system.

Ensure care delivery aligns with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
Required:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification upon hire or within 1 year.

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 6 months of hire.

Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and time management skills.
Preferred:

Minimum of two (2) years of critical care nursing experience.

ENPC certification.

Specialty certification in emergency or critical care nursing (e.g., CEN, CCRN).
