What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - PACU - PRN position at Delta County Memorial Hospital?
We’re seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care to patients of all ages. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the care team, you’ll ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-op assessments and obtain patient history
- Monitor vital signs and surgical sites
- Complete surgeon and anesthesia orders
- Assist with endoscopic procedures
- Manage post-op pain and nausea
- Educate patients and families before and after surgery
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient charts
- Promote a safe, calm, and supportive environment
PRN or “as needed” employees provide a crucial role within the organization, giving departments more flexibility to operate and ensuring that Delta Health provides superior services to our patients.
- PRN minimum requirement: 2 shifts per month, 1 holiday per year.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Must be currently licensed to practice as an RN in the State of Colorado.
- ACLS required upon hire or within 6 months.
- BLS required.
- Two years PACU experience preferred.
