Registered Ultrasound Tech - PRN

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs all required ultrasound procedures, utilizing independent judgment, initiative, and technical expertise to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This role includes responsibility for designated procedures and areas, ensuring patient care, safety, and accurate imaging outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, transfer, and position patients to ensure comfort and optimal imaging quality
• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures using sound technical judgment and skill
• Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy
• Provide relevant patient information to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Assist with specialized ultrasound procedures as needed
• Support and participate in the training of radiology students
• Adhere to sterile techniques and Universal Precautions at all times
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms and equipment after each procedure
• Maintain adequate supplies, including restocking linens and ultrasound gel
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical ultrasound experience required
