What You’ll Do
- Guide patients through MRI procedures and ensure they understand safety requirements, including the removal of metal objects
- Position patients correctly using coils, accessories, and protocol-specific techniques as directed by the Radiologist
- Demonstrate communication tools (microphone, alarm systems) to keep patients comfortable and informed during scans
- Manage patient worklists, enter procedure-specific data, and maintain accurate digital records
- Monitor patients during imaging for safety and comfort
- Review images for diagnostic quality and transfer final studies to PACS
- Screen staff and visitors entering the MRI suite for safety compliance
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming department environment
- Assist with scheduling, follow-up calls, administrative tasks, and record keeping
- Perform daily QA and support compliance with Federal, State, and DNV standards
- Uphold a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times
- Take on additional duties as needed to support departmental success
Required Education & Experience
- Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered MR Technologist (ARRT)
- BLS Certification
- 3–5 years of MRI experience preferred
- Licensure and certification must meet current Delta Health policy requirements
