Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager – Research & Discovery to support strategic product discovery initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role focuses on transforming ambiguous business problems into validated, estimate-ready opportunities through customer research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, and early-stage product discovery activities.
This is a hands-on discovery and research role focused on problem framing, validation, and strategic alignment — not a delivery-focused role and not a people-management position. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in product strategy, UX research, service design, stakeholder alignment, and discovery facilitation within complex enterprise organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert ambiguous business needs into fully defined product and operational opportunities
- Lead strategic discovery initiatives and produce “Discovery Packets” to support IT estimation and investment planning
- Support ROI modeling activities in collaboration with Product leadership
- Translate scattered backlog items into strategic product and business themes
- Lead customer research activities including interviews, usability testing, concept validation, and prototype feedback sessions
- Leverage operational insights, call center data, QA/QC analytics, and customer feedback to validate root causes and business problems
- Support identification of regulatory constraints and operational dependencies impacting product strategy
- Develop service blueprints, customer journey maps, business rules, and low-fidelity prototypes
- Collaborate with Domain Product Managers to define MVP boundaries and align scope expectations
- Ensure discovery artifacts and requirements are aligned prior to estimation and execution handoff
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, discussions, and alignment sessions with business and technical stakeholders
