What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agency Maintenance Assistant (Summer/Seasonal) position at Delta Area Economic Opportunity?
The Summer Agency Assistant is a full time (36 hours/week( seasonal position with general maintenance duties which may include yard maintenance, painting, warehousing and courier assistance to the agency's locations within the 6 county service area. Other duties may be assigned based on the agency's needs and individual's skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Yard maintenance including mowing, weed pulling, etc., of agency properties.
- Moves, transports and relocates equipment, supplies, furniture, etc. to assigned locations as necessary.
- Responsible for the upkeep and care of tools and equipment as well as keeping them in good working condition.
- Retrieve and deliver documents, packages and other items between offices and departments; and Other errands or projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills: The individual must be a team player; arrive on time; take direction from supervisor; excellent time management skills; and ability to work independently. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in computer operations and able to quickly learn and understand specific program software.
Education and/or Experience: Enrolled in High School or High school diploma or GED
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have driver's license valid in Missouri and necessary liability insurance.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have the ability to empathize with and understand the needs of DAEOC clientele. Must have knowledge of living and working conditions in the six-county area of Southeast Missouri as they relate to DAEOC clients.
Other Qualifications:
Must be able to travel the six-county area 4 to 5 days a week and go out-of-area on a periodical basis.
