This position is responsible for building strong business understanding and relationships to enable the delivery of technology solutions that deliver the intended business value in the spirit of the Agile Scrum Methodology. The Technical Product Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to process a solid technical understanding of the product which will allow prioritization of features according to business value along and the ability to write detailed user stories that are ready for development when added to the backlog. The Technical Product Engineer will also participate in Sprint ceremonies like Inception, Future State, Alignment, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, User Story Refinement. It is important that they also establish and maintain effective partnerships with the Business and IT product teams.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical and organizational skills to transform data into insights, distill requirements, and develop processes. They will also be able to define clear, easy-to-digest metrics that resonate with the business. While a deep knowledge of Crew products and applications is not necessary, previous experience will be a plus. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, business maturity, and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting sophisticated and detailed research of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals/intent of the assigned products.
  • Work with Product Manager, and SMEs to prioritize feature development, based on the business value.
  • Elicit and create initial epics/features and elaborate into user scenarios that clearly describe the functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Deliver business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, scenarios, acceptance criteria-based user stories, process flows, wireframe diagrams, interaction diagrams, mockups/demos, etc.
  • Collaborate with a multi-functional team inside a Scrum framework.
  • Conduct work sessions and document new features, requirements, and strategies.
  • Oversight of testing, bug tracking, enhancements while ensuring issues are resolved before promoting to production environments.
  • Able to work on multiple initiatives and balance constantly evolving priorities.
  • Use data and analysis to convey solution impact and to support process driven solutions.
  • Develop business logic and critical metrics for incorporation into decision support models and tools.
  • Construct problem statement including problem description and improvement measures.
  • Drill down beyond the problem surface to understand root cause.
  • Delivering recommendations and supporting data to formulate solid, logical, and understandable business reasons.
  • Supply guidance to project planning and effort estimation within scope.
  • Support the identification of risks and mitigation approaches.
  • Ability to collaborate with, as well as develop and maintain internal customer relationships with business unit leaders.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience as a project manager, product owner or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
  • Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production.
  • Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and social skills
  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, strong verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
