Seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee enterprise IT infrastructure and modernization initiatives within a government agency. This role involves guiding cloud migration, cybersecurity enhancements, network operations, and service delivery transformation in a complex, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the strategic planning and operational management of the agency’s enterprise cloud environment, including provisioning, migration, and governance standards.
- Oversees statewide network and telecommunications operations, ensuring high availability, security, and modernization of infrastructure supporting cloud adoption and cybersecurity requirements.
- Manages the enterprise IT service desk and end-user support functions, establishing KPIs, incident management processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provides leadership for infrastructure operations, including compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, backup, recovery, and monitoring to meet performance and reliability standards.
- Partners with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with federal and state security policies, supporting security controls, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
- Oversees vendor relationships, procurement, contract negotiations, and performance management for technology providers and managed service providers.
- Establishes and maintains IT governance processes, including incident, problem, change, and configuration management, along with developing enterprise service catalogs and executive dashboards.
- Facilitates weekly operational reviews, status reporting, and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, and network operations in a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud migration, cloud governance, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiations.
- Experience developing and implementing IT service management frameworks and governance processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Background working within healthcare, Medicaid, government, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, CMS, and federal cybersecurity standards.
- Experience leading large-scale technology modernization projects and cloud initiatives.
