We’re partnering with a YC-backed startup on a confidential search for a Director of Engineering. This role will lead a growing engineering team while shaping the technical strategy and architecture of the platform. You’ll also partner closely with product and business leadership to translate company goals into a clear, executable technical roadmap.

About the role:
- Manage and grow a team of engineers (currently 4 ICs, expanding)
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and product execution
- Stay hands‑on with full‑stack design and implementation
- Partner with leadership on product direction and business priorities
What we’re looking for:
- Proven leadership in high‑growth startups or tech‑forward orgs
- Backend/system design strength with fullstack fluency (Golang, Python or OOP)
- Track record of scaling teams and shipping complex products
- Passion for mentoring and building resilient, secure systems
NYC hybrid (3 days in office)
