What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer position at Delkor Systems, Inc.?
Responsibilities
- Install, start up, and test Delkor equipment at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic programming issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, audits, and equipment optimization.
- Train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
- Complete service reports, documentation, and follow‑up.
- Support equipment checkout, PLC/HMI updates, FATs, and assembly as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Automated Systems, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 2 years as a Field Service Engineer I or 3 years relevant field experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Experience with RSLogix 500/5000, PanelView Plus HMIs, and reading schematics.
- Ability to travel frequently, often on short notice.
- Excellent communication, organization, and independent work skills.
Physical Requirements
- Regular lifting up to 40 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work in production environments.
Work Environment
- 70% travel to customer facilities (industrial production environment).
- 20% work on Delkor’s production floor.
- 10% office-based work and documentation.
Benefits
- $35.00–$45.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Field Service II and III may be eligible for a $12,000 sign-on bonus.
