Position Summary
As a 1099 Independent Contractor Delivery Driver, you will operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to transport packages and grocery orders from a Walmart location to customers throughout the local service area. Contractors are expected to safely operate the vehicle, provide outstanding customer service, and complete assigned routes efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate a company-provided delivery vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
- Pick up assigned delivery routes from the Walmart pickup location.
- Deliver packages and grocery orders to residential and commercial customers.
- Use the required delivery application to navigate routes, complete deliveries, and communicate delivery status.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety policies, and delivery procedures.
- Handle packages carefully to ensure accurate and damage-free deliveries.
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or delivery concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a cargo van or similar delivery vehicle.
- Smartphone capable of running the required delivery applications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills.

Independent Contractor Notice
