Day Training Specialist (DSP)

The Role: Skill Builder & Community Guide
As a Day Training Specialist, you are an educator and a motivator. You help participants build the skills they need to lead independent, social, and joyful lives. From teaching money management to exploring local parks, you ensure our participants are always learning and never bored.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Goals: Use creativity to teach social skills, budgeting, personal care, and safety through engaging activities.
Community Integration: Provide transportation and support for community outings and volunteer opportunities.
Holistic Support: Assist with personal care needs (feeding, toileting, etc.) and provide emotional support, including de-escalation when needed.
Mission-Driven Care: Represent our core values while following SCL and Michelle P. Waiver regulations.
Documentation: Keep accurate, timely records of progress and participate in Person-Centered Team Meetings.
Qualifications
Education & Age: High School Diploma/GED and age 18 (21 preferred).
Skills: Ability to read/implement instructions, perform physical demands, and accept constructive feedback for growth.
Safety: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Experience (Preferred): Experience in direct care, challenging behaviors, or Adult Day Training (ADT) services is a plus!
