Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction techniques, building science, and high-end finishes, with proven ability to manage subcontractors and vendors while delivering exceptional results for clients. Project management and cost estimating experience is a plus. Candidates with less experience may be considered if they bring professionalism, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. This role requires excellent organizational and client-relations skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of project construction to ensure that all expectations of the company & custom luxury clientele are exceeded.
- Be comfortable with the use of technology to track project details as well as for internal and client communications. This includes email, project management software, and other applications as needed.
- Possess great organizational and communication skills along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn with a commitment to getting the job done.
- Review subcontractor output concerning schedules and success targets to ensure that the project is on track to be completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards required
- Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed
- Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner
- Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, including building permits, codes, equipment, materials, methods, and project management practices.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, time management, and communication abilities.
- Experience with high-end custom home building is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a general contractor; additional management experience is highly desirable.
