Job Summary:
The Library Student Employee provides responsive and timely customer service to faculty, students and staff to ensure that the library services function smoothly. The position entails a variety of clerical and administrative support tasks. The Library Student Employee works with librarians following established processes and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process printing requests and troubleshoot printers.
- Answer telephone, email, and in-person inquiries about the library and its services.
- Perform computer and physical searches for library materials.
- Check in, check out, and renew library materials.
- Shelve and inventory library materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Employment eligibility:
- Currently enrolled Delaware Valley University student
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide required documentation to verify identity and employment eligibility
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- Strong Interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively resolve problems and keep the Library Team informed.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasionally lifting 25 lbs or less
- Typically standing or walking
- Typically bending, crouching, stooping
- High noise environment (patrons talking, printers printing)
Salary : $31,889 - $42,015
