Description/Qualifications
The Capture Coordinator is a member of the Business Development/Capture and Proposals Team who provides operational, administrative and analytical support throughout the capture lifecycle. This role is responsible for coordinating capture activities, managing documentation and agreements, tracking opportunities, capturing intel and data related to new business, and working closely with DRG’s Proposal Team to design winning solutions to meet pursuit objectives. The Capture Coordinator reports directly to the Capture and Proposal Manager to ensure that efforts in establishing new relationships and pursuit methods coincide with the organization’s growth strategy. This position will have a heavy emphasis placed on competitive acquisition opportunities.
Essential Duties of the Position
- Support BD and Capture Teams in planning, organizing, and executing capture activities across the opportunity lifecycle (pre-RFI through proposal submission).
- Maintain and update capture management plans, opportunity pipelines, gate reviews, and pursuit documentation.
- Support and participate in capture meetings, strategy sessions, and reviews; prepare agendas, capture notes, and action items.
- Track customer engagement activities and maintain records of customer intelligence, competitor analysis, and market research.
- Maintain accurate and timely data in opportunity tracking systems/trackers (eg GovWin, Power BI, Teams).
- Monitor upcoming opportunities, key milestones, and deadlines; notify stakeholders of required actions.
- Support analysis of new business opportunities, including scope, contract type, NAICS, set-aside status, and compliance considerations. Assist with competitor and competitive analysis (SWOT).
- Coordinate the development, review, execution, and tracking of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, MOUs, and related documents.
- Support capture-to-proposal transitions by organizing capture artifacts, competitor insights, and win themes.
- Coordinate internal approvals and ensure capture documentation is complete prior to proposal kickoff.
- Generate routine and ad-hoc reports on capture activity, pipeline health, agreement status, and performance metrics.
- Support leadership with data analysis related to capture effectiveness, resource utilization, and growth trends.
- Support continuous improvement of capture processes, tools, and templates.
- Maintain organized, auditable capture files in accordance with company Quality Management System requirements.
- Attend conferences or industry days as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, 2 or more years of experience in government contracting, business development, capture or proposal support or combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with federal acquisition process and capture management best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, excellent presentation and verbal communications skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
