Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Billing Manager to oversee all billing operations within our pediatric practice. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate claim submissions, timely reimbursements, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, advanced knowledge of billing procedures, and experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily billing operations, including charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, denials management, and patient billing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations and guidelines.
- Monitor accounts receivable and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances and improve revenue cycle performance.
- Lead, train, and support billing staff to maintain accuracy, productivity, and high-quality work standards.
- Conduct regular audits of billing processes, coding accuracy, and documentation requirements.
- Communicate with payers, patients, clinical staff, and leadership to resolve billing issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and payer policy changes.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize workflow and revenue cycle efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, claim workflows, and reimbursement processes.
- Experience with electronic health records and billing software systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
