Delaware North Sportservice is searching for an Assistant Catering Operations Manager to join our team at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As Assistant Catering Manager, you will be assisting with all catered events under the direction of the Catering Manager. Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $43,888 – $54,100 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do?
- Work closely with Catering Manager on all catered events wtihin and surrounding the ballpark
- Assists with scheduling, set-up and tear down, and full execution of catered events both on game days and non-game days
- Maintain established food presentation and service standards, providing ongoing developments based upon current trends in the catering industry
- Maintain monthly inventory, requisitions, as well as appropriate levels of related catering supplies and staffing
- Financial management with budgeting, inventory control and controlling costs
- Assist with recruitment for hourly team members, including working with the Talent Acquisition team to pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and identify individuals for hire
- Provide supervision, training and guidance to new and existing staff members
More about you
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience, as well as previous experience with restaurant or banquet operations, guest service, recruiting, and training
- No college degree required
- Familiar with the hospitality or entertainment industry
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and customer service skills
- Make informed decisions from analyzed data
- Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ability to learn catering software
Physical requirements
- Capacity to stand and walk during shift, ability to move inventory, products, carts, and tables, as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment
- Possible exposure to variable temperatures and wet and humid conditions
