Job Standards
Associates degree in Business Administration or related area or the equivalent work experience. Must be a Notary Public or have the ability to become a Notary Public within one year of employment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record. Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business at all times. All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Essential Functions
- Creates and maintains complete record of the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners;
- Records minutes of Commissioners’ meetings and prepares permanent electronic recordings;
- Certifies Board resolutions;
- Prepares agenda for Board meetings;
- Researches and prepares resolutions for Board meetings;
- Assures that all documentation is properly prepared for Board meetings;
- Maintains index of Commissioner’s Resolutions;
- Orders necessary supplies while maintaining inventory accuracy and cost-efficiency;
- Performs general clerical duties including, but not limited to, answering telephone, typing forms and letters, filing, and reception work;
- Assists in maintaining time and attendance records and processing payroll accurately and timely;
- Provides information and assistance to the public on Commissioners’ matters;
- Supports Commissioners’ programs and other programs by working with local agencies, attending meetings, conferences, workshops, training sessions, and performing a variety of public relations duties;
- Devises correspondence, completing forms, and developing reports;
- Handles client complaints and public inquiries regarding programs;
- Substitutes for the Clerk to the Board;
- Serves on various Boards as directed by the Board of Commissioners;
- Serves as the Clerk for various boards as assigned;
- Coordinates and schedules interviews for Board Appointments;
- Drives to various locations for the delivery of or to gather county documents, to attend trainings, meetings and hearings, and may also transport other County business related travelers as required;
- Drives County vehicles to the Service Center for maintenance and / or fueling and to other designated locations for use by other employees;
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance;
- Works overtime and outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required;
- Performs typing, word processing, and related computer operations;
- Performs any related essential functions as required;
- Hold as confidential, all aspects of the job; and
- Other duties as assigned.
