Position Summary
Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Instructor to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success. The College is seeking experienced craftsmen and technicians to teach a variety of classes in the welding trades.
Essential Functions
Successful candidates will be required to teaching morning are required to teach both lecture (theory) and lab (practical applications) classes in the following:
- Introduction to welding
- Print reading for fabricators
- OXY-Fuel Welding
- Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Experience & Education
The successful candidate will:
- have a minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job experience as a welder or metal fabricator Required
- have prior formal teaching experience at the secondary and/or post-secondary level Preferred
- have
- high school diploma, technical/trade school and/or approved apprenticeship certificate Required
- Associate Degree Preferred
- have current industry certifications (include but not limited to) Preferred
- AWS CWI
- CWE
be able to demonstrate competencies in:
- Blueprint reading
- Soldering and brazing
- Thermal cutting
- Oxy-acetylene welding
- Shielded metal arc welding
- Gas metal arc welding
- Gas tungsten arc welding
