Position Summary
Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Instructor to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success. Adjunct Instructor who subscribes to the notion of meeting students where they are, DCCC has a place for you!
The College is seeking experienced Carpenters to instruct a variety of day-time carpentry classes at Main Campus in Media.
Essential Functions
Successful candidates are required to teach both lecture (theory) and lab (practical applications) classes in:
- Introduction to Basic Floor Systems
- Introduction to Roofing and Siding
- Advanced Roofing and Siding
- Advanced Framing Design
Experience & Education
The ideal candidate must have:
- Formal training in carpentry or related trade
- Minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job experience
- Have the skills related to the course being taught.
- Have extensive knowledge of the use and operation of various hand and power tools.
- Be able to work with a diverse group of students.
