Job Title: Restorative Justice Interventionist
Direct Supervisors: Assistant Principal/Principal
Contract Days: 12 Months
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Build proactive and authentic relationships with students, families and staff
2. Support innovation, collaboration, and refining of school protocols and procedures consistently that are
aligned with restorative practices and school values
3. Develop, implement, and supervise an In School Restoration (ISR) experience for students needing to
spend time in ISR to reflect and repair harm
4. Respond to support calls and follow through on Kairos protocols around response to behavior at DLS
5. Support with the designing and planning of working lunch, actions of repair, and the use of reflection
sheets to ensure it is in line with Restorative Practice initiatives at DLS HS
6. Serve as an active member of the Restorative Practices Team (This may include coaching staff in real
time or facilitating staff development sessions.)
7. Support with conflict resolution and mediation work for students at DLS HS
8. Plan and lead connection circles and community building activities with staff and students as part of
Crew, Town Halls, and Staff Development
9. Track, monitor, evaluate, respond to, and report RP data in Kairos/Student Life Trackers, Intellispark and
Infinite Campus
10. Additional assigned duties as assigned by the assistant principal/principal
Desired Qualifications:
● At least three years of relevant experience working with students and families from a variety of backgrounds, including urban environments and students at risk of academic failure
● Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in teaching, counseling, or related field preferred
● Deep knowledge of restorative practices, Missouri laws and regulations pertaining to charter schools and all aspects of student/family rights in behavior and dismissal proceedings
● Able and willing to work extended school day hours and extended school year days
● Effectively prioritizes work and meets deadlines; is organized; manages multiple assignments; follows assignments through to completion; responds quickly to requests for information and assistance
● Maintains confidential and sensitive information, with respect to both school and student level data and internal staff members
