What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Delaney Chevrolet Inc?
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Maintaining the cleanliness of the franchises and surrounding grounds. Duties include picking up waste, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows and executing minor repairs and maintenance work.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/DUTIES:
- Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
- Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
- Empties trash receptacles, disposes of trash into dumpsters.
- Reports on needs and concerns to appropriate staff.
- Clean glass surfaces and windows.
- May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or similar activities.
- Perform other duties and projects as deemed necessary by supervisor.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, and stooping.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
