Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Deland, Gibson is looking for a Commercial Lines Select Business Manager to join our Wellesley, MA office. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Lines, the successful candidate will be operationally minded, maintain high standards of client experience, have a thorough understanding of our agency’s internal systems and workflows, and provide peace of mind through proactive service. If you are an experienced select business account manager with leadership experience, we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
- Manage day-do-day operations of the select business unit
- Handle a small portfolio of select business Commercial Lines clients
- Develop and maintain departmental workflows and procedures
- Identify, design, and participate in implementation strategies for continued growth of the department including opportunities to cross-sell and round-out coverage
- Drive agency goals and performance objectives
- Continuously work to improve the client service experience and deliver excellent customer service
- Review and prepare monthly reports to determine progress in achieving department objectives
- Work to maintain strong relationships with carriers
- Bolster productivity and positive work environment of department
- Provide regular training for optimum use of agency management system and carrier websites
- Participate in annual evaluations for staff
- Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff members
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 5-years’ experience in Commercial Lines
- MA P & C License
- Proficiency with Applied Epic strongly preferred
- Self-motivation and accountability to get the job done
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to have fun and work with a team
- Exceptional problem-solving and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
