Under general supervision and following the appropriate GMP’s the employee performs various intermediate Quality Assurance assignment using supervisor or managers as guidance to perform daily assignment tasks. Can be used as a resource for QC Tech I or II

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Follows and enforces employee’s safety procedures
- Report any unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor or manager
- Follow, Monitor, and Enforce all food safety procedures including but not limited to SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, and ETC) (USDA & FDA)
- Follow Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies
- Manage incoming raw materials (including packaging) to ensure product quality is within specifications.
- Review and verify all temperatures in Shipping and Receiving rooms are always maintained at acceptable ranges.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing trucks for all pertinent requirements as per the Truck and Trailer Inspection Form
- Reject or place on hold for further disposition all products/trucks out of specifications
- Create non-conformity reports to the purchasing department when product is rejected/ out of specifications
- Review and compare incoming materials to invoice for verification and collect samples for raw material tests and verifications
- Enforce allergen policies as they pertain to placement and storage of specific products
- Verification of incoming labels against the specification.
- Retail Sleeve Verification
- Documentation of the receiving of all raw materials including meat, spices, vegetables, and food contact packaging materials.
- Verify outgoing orders meet expectations of customers (temps, net weights, etc)
- Assist with Export labeling and finished product review
- Assist maintaining the company’s Hold and Release Log (inventory)
- Follows and enforces SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, and ETC)
- Initiate proper corrective actions when deviations occur
- Initiate corrective actions when cooler’s storage conditions, product storage procedures and sanitary conditions are not within specs
- Assist on Finished product retention program
- Assist on conducting the glass and brittle audit at Inland.
- Conduct inspections at the Inland facility
- Assis when support is needed on the production floor
Requirements and Duties:
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP’s required for employee practices in a USDA/FDA Establishment.
- Knowledge of calibration requirements for testing equipment used for monitoring tasks of food safety and quality.
- Ability to learn SQF Ed 8 system requirements.
C. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School/ G.E.D
- Minimum 1-year experience on the food manufacturing facility (USDA Food Industry is highly desired)
