SummaryOur client, located in the Murrieta, CA area, are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk to support an established warehouse operation specializing in nutritional product packaging and distribution. This role is essential to the efficient flow of inbound and outbound goods, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing within a regulated warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience handling shipping and receiving duties, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain inventory records with precision.Duties & ResponsibilitiesShippingPrepare, label, and package outgoing orders per customer and carrier requirements (UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight).Generate and review shipping documentation including packing lists, bills of lading, and manifests to ensure accuracy and compliance.Coordinate with carriers for pickups, tracking, and delivery schedules.Verify outgoing shipments meet quality, safety, and company standards.ReceivingReceive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.Document and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods.Accurately enter received inventory into warehouse systems and route materials to designated storage locations.Verify lot numbers, batch records, and expiration dates when applicable.Inventory & DocumentationMaintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts and physical inventories as required.Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and scanning equipment to track shipments and inventory movement.Maintain complete and accurate shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with company SOPs.Safety & ComplianceFollow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.Adhere to quality and regulatory standards applicable to nutritional products and distribution.CollaborationCommunicate effectively with operations, quality assurance, and logistics teams.Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma or GED required.Additional education or training in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is a plus.ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving or warehouse experience, preferably in nutritional, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments.Experience working with common shipping carriers and warehouse software systems preferred.Skills & AbilitiesProficient with computers and warehouse systems (WMS/ERP) and basic Microsoft Office applications.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical warehouse duties.Certifications (Preferred)Forklift or material handling equipment certification.OSHA safety training or equivalent.Work EnvironmentOn-site role in a warehouse setting.Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.
