Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to conduct classroom and clinical training of nurse aide students leading up to certification. This is accomplished by supervising students in a clinical setting at an assigned local long-term care nursing facility, maintaining required student records including attendance, grading, student progress, and skills training.
The Nurse Aide Instructor works under the general direction of the program director. The Nurse Aide Instructor confers with the program director or navigator regarding attendance, grading, student progress, clinical site coordination, state licensing examination scheduling, and other pertinent information essential to the nurse aide training program.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year long-term care facility experience. Licensed in the State of Texas as LVN or RN.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of long term care facility regulations on patient care.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively present information to students.
Ability to utilize various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
Ability to plan, coordinate, manage, direct classroom, skills lab, and clinical training experience for students.

Preferred Qualifications
