Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based in Nutley, NJ. The Salesperson will identify and develop new business opportunities with manufacturers in food, beverage, nutrition, and animal feed segments, while maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and outreach, conducting sales calls and in-person meetings, presenting product capabilities and pricing, and preparing quotations and proposals. The role involves coordinating with internal logistics, technical, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and responsive follow-up on customer inquiries. The Salesperson will track opportunities in a CRM system, monitor market trends and competitor activity, and contribute to sales forecasts and territory planning to support overall revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in B2B sales, account management, and new business development within ingredients, food, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical product information to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM tools, pipeline management, and basic data analysis for forecasting and performance tracking.
- Solid organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills to manage multiple accounts, leads, and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with operations, logistics, and technical teams to support customers with documentation, quality, and supply chain needs.
- Comfort working on-site in Clifton, NJ, including regular customer visits and occasional travel to client locations or company facilities.
- Knowledge of food, beverage, nutrition, or feed ingredients, and familiarity with FDA, cGMP, Kosher, Halal, or Non-GMO requirements is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in sales.
