Boat Builder

Position Overview

• Assembles fiberglass hulls, decks and small parts, and components into a completed boat
• Installs decks, hardware, bilge system, hoses, tanks, etc.
• Performs electrical assembly of consoles, connects wiring and components
• Uses a variety of hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other equipment
• Ability to work following specific instructions, reading, and writing are required
• Application of sealants, adhesives, and primers
• Proper disposal and cleaning practices are strictly maintained

Physical Requirements

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including masks, gloves, and suits
• Ability to work a 10 hour shift, standing, bending, and reaching
• Moderate lifting up to 50lbs
• Ability to work in a on climate-controlled environment
• Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast-paced noisy environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must always follow all safety and quality standards, including chemical handling standards and PPE
• Ability to use a variety oh hand and pneumatic tools
• Knowledge of fasteners, nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
• Ability to understand a communicate verbal and written instructions
• Basic skills in forklift, overhead hoist, computer and electrical components preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
