HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
This is a full-time position. The Lead Painter is responsible for overseeing all painting and coating operations within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures high-quality finishes, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow, while leading and supporting a team of painters. The Lead Painter will also train and work closely with paint prep technicians and other painters to ensure proper processes are followed and quality standards are consistently met.
- Displaying proficiency in painting and sanding of vehicles.
- Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint, or other processes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
- Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes
- Mixing all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency Priming and curing primers.
- Monitor inventory levels of paint, coatings, and supplies; coordinate reordering as needed.
- Fixing damaged vehicle bodies.
- Upkeeping work areas and equipment which may include preventative maintenance tasks.
- Inspecting product before, during, after process to ensure specifications are being met.
- Communicating with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
- Performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- High school diploma, equivalent or trade school certification required.
- 3 years' experience in the painting of automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop
- Good vision, aptitude for matching colors, mathematical skills, good manual dexterity, basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to do precision work
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; detail oriented and organized; self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools
