DUTIES:
- Lockout/tagout devices used at all times when necessary
- Must conform to all customer safety regulations, as well as MSHA, etc.
- Perform most functions of a Welder/Assembler while in the field
- Drives or flies to various customer locations throughout the country
- Travels required approximately 50% of work hours
- Gathers parts and tools, and double check, before loading and/or leaving for service jobs
- Observes screen/feeder in operation, paying attention to audible indications of issues
- Dismantles mechanisms, or applicable component, to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjusts functional parts of screens and feeders as required
- Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Sets up and operates magnetic drill, grinder, and other metalworking tools to install and/or remove or modify repair parts
- Starts, or requests start of screens/feeders to test their performance, after repairs are complete
- Completes service and expense reports in a timely fashion
- Returns tools and trucks in a clean, safe condition - cleaning to be done during normal shift hours
- Will perform normal shop duties when not in field
- Available for short notice service trips
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read a tape measure and prints
- Must have weld experience
- Must be proactive and a self-starter
- Must have good attendance
- Must work well with others
- Must be able to problem solve & trouble shoot in real time
