Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:15am -4:45pmMust possess a clean driving record (5 years or more).All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, including a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) which must be clear to proceed.If offered/selected for the position you will be asked to provide an MVR printout from the DMV on the first day of employment.Required Skills/Abilities:Entry Level Position: We Are Happy to TrainFollow all internal laboratory and State regulations while taking samples and driving to and from the laboratory/clients’ sampling siteInteract with customers during sample collection and submissionStrive to maximize driving route efficiencyMaintain records of samples and transportation data per relevant proceduresMaintain sampling supply/equipment inventoryComplete vehicle operational logs and minor maintenance as neededFollow good documentation practices, data integrity principles, and safety behaviorsPromote a professional company image through exemplary customer relationship skillsRefer customer inquiries, routing or schedule change requests, and/or complaints to the appropriate ManagerEnsure proper sample submission and chain of custody protocols are followedSuggest and implement continuous process improvement initiativesSupport laboratory-based functions including sample intake/preparation, cleaning, etc.Perform other activities as assigned by managementWe'd Love to Hear from People:Who are at least 25 years of age (for vehicle insurance purposes)Who live within 30 miles of Chester, VAWho have previous long-distance driving / delivery experienceWho have a valid driver’s license; and have and maintained a clean DMV driving record for at least the previous 5 yearsWho are able to pass a background checkWho will maintain a professional appearanceWho demonstrate a passion for getting things done the right way, display confidence in offering suggestions to enhance process efficiency, and the ability to take direction wellWho fluently read, write, and speak English and must be able to program and follow driving navigation softwareWho can follow written and verbal instructions; work effectively within a collaborative teamWho have strong attention to detail; must possess excellent planning skillsWho are able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.Who are comfortable sitting for long periods of time; may also be subject to bending, stooping, pushing, and pullingREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) and have at least 1 year of previous driving experience.Reliability, a good work ethic, and a willingness to learn.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
