Duties
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, standards, and assessments to monitor progress
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and classroom activities in accordance with licensing requirements
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Experience in lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience teaching literacy and/or math is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid and CPR
Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 37.0 per week
