POSITION OVERVIEW
We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support us and the 492d Special Operations Wing.
The 492d Special Operations Wing (492 SOW) provides advisory and assistance services for operations support, plans and programs, logistics, contingency operations, intelligence, security, training, and aircrew support. Due to continuous contingency operations, deployment commitments, training requirements, transition to a Power Projection Wing and move to Davis Monthan, AZ, the 492 SOW needs support to continue to meet Headquarters (HQ) Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) taskings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform liaison services between the AFSOC Operations Center and the 492 SOW for aircraft utilization in future operations.
- Coordinate Wing support for approximately 700 USSOCOM Form 111, Form 20, Form 5, AFSOC HQ test requests for four aircraft types, aircraft simulators, Distinguished Visitors, COMM networks, OCONUS aircraft movements and special events for 21 squadrons.
- Coordinate between Wing units and outside units for Multi-lateral and Bi-lateral aircraft training iterations (MLAT/BLAT).
- Produce the weekly classified Commanders Update Brief.
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly activity reports on behalf of the JPG.
- Prepare reports and presentations (Bullet Background papers, Point Papers, Power Point slide shows) as necessary on JPG and 492 SOW taskers associated with programmed unit acquisition and Wing relocation.
- Conduct Wing senior leader program briefings as necessary.
- Liaison with 492 Squadrons to produce a weekly flying schedule and conduct weekly OPS/MX meeting with 492 SOW A3 and 492 SOW DCO or 492 DCS for approval. Obtain appropriate ranges to execute the schedule.
- Conduct a weekly commits meeting to determine support/nonsupport for items listed1.5.10.2
- Develop annual flying hour program for four different MDS and provide monthly Commander updates 1.5.5.11. Perform direct Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Refresher Training support during 36 preplanned formal training iterations supporting 648 High Risk of Isolation and Capture personnel assigned to the 492 SOW and personnel identified within local memorandum of agreements with the 919 SOW.
- Instruct AFSOC SERE Refresher Training during line unit Certification Exercises (CERTEX), Special Operations Preparation Exercises (SOPE), and Validation Exercises (VALEX) aligned with the SOFORGEN deployment cycles. Expected training frequency is 6 exercises annually, 3 for each deployment tranche.
- Maintain Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) access, token, and email account for access to Personnel Recovery Mission Software (SOF), Department of State Source (DS Source), SERE Training and Instructor Reference Products (STIRPs), and Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) Conduct After Capture (CAC) instruction guidance's.
- Conduct CONOP briefings for Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape iterations to the Director, A3 or Deputy Commander, Operations, as necessary.
- Coordinate between Unit Training Managers, Current Operations, Future Operations, Safety, Legal, Surgeon General, and Standards & Evaluation to schedule Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Refresher Training Events in accordance with local standard operating instructions and to obtain required training support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- Secret security clearance
- Minimum 5 years AFSOC aviation experience
- Minimum 5 years AFSOC SERE experience and with the following qualifications: - PR 301 (PR350), Personnel Recovery Planner, - PR 303, Non-Conventional Assisted Recovery Planner, - S-V81-F, SERE Specialist Training Craftsman Course - 7 skill level
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
