Required skills and experience
Experience:
8 to 12 years of experience required
- Strong and practical experience of business analysis on technology delivery projects
- Strong requirements elicitation skills — ability to run structured workshops with mixed-technical stakeholders and produce clear, unambiguous requirements documentation
- Experience authoring formal requirements documents, functional specifications, and user stories to a standard suitable for government client review and sign-off
- Solid understanding of data concepts — data dictionaries, metadata standards, data lineage, and data quality
- Experience facilitating UAT with non-technical end users and documenting results
- Experience authoring formal requirements documents, functional specifications, and user stories to a standard suitable for government client review and sign-off
- Experience producing training materials and delivering training to staff (in-person and virtual)
- Familiarity with Agile delivery — writing user stories, participating in sprint ceremonies, and managing a product backlog in collaboration with the PM
- Power BI expertise — report design, DAX, data modelling, and publishing to Power BI Service capacity workspaces
- Solid understanding of Power BI data connectivity — specifically import mode, DirectQuery, and on-premises data gateway configuration
- Experience connecting Power BI to Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses
- Experience in accessibility requirements (ADA) for data visualizations and documentation (WCAG 2.1 AA applied to charts, tables, and dashboards)
Nice to have
- Experience on open data, data portal, or government data platform projects
- Exposure to ArcGIS or geospatial data concepts
- Experience with Snowflake — understanding of schemas, role-based access, and data sharing patterns
Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
