We are now expanding our capabilities and looking for an experienced EV/Hybrid Diagnostic Technician to lead high-voltage and advanced diagnostics.This is a rare opportunity to help shape and grow one of the region’s first true independent EV/Hybrid specialist shops.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled EV/Hybrid Diagnostic Technician with strong high-voltage knowledge and advanced diagnostic ability. You will be the lead tech for:EV & hybrid diagnosticsHV battery and thermal management issuesInverter/charger/DC-DC troubleshootingCAN bus and module communication issuesPre/post testing, insulation testing & safety verificationCreating diagnostic reports and repair plansGuiding our R&R tech through repair proceduresIf you want to grow into a senior specialist role, train others, and work in a clean, modern environment focused on EV technology — this is the role for you.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostics on EV & hybrid vehicles across Tesla, Toyota/Lexus, Hyundai/Kia, BMW, Audi, Mercedes platforms.Diagnose HV battery issues, contactors, insulation faults, thermal faults, coolant loop failures, and charging issues.Use Tesla Toolbox, Autel EV diagnostics, OEM service manuals, and various test equipment to identify faults.Conduct safe high-voltage system shutdowns, testing, lockout/tagout, and pre-charge inspections.Provide clear, structured diagnostic reports and repair plans.Work closely with our R&R technician to perform HV battery R&R, drive unit R&R, cooling system repairs, etc.Help develop EV/HV service procedures and shop workflow.Maintain high-voltage safety compliance at all times.Optional: Mentor our existing tech on hybrid/EV fundamentals.Required Qualifications3 years of experience diagnosing EV or hybrid vehicles OR high-voltage systems (Tesla, Toyota/Lexus, Hyundai/Kia, or European EVs).Strong diagnostic ability with HV systems, CAN bus networks, thermal systems, and power electronics.Comfortable using OEM service procedures and advanced scan tools.Familiarity with high-voltage safety protocols and insulated tools/PPE.Ability to create clear diagnostic notes and communicate findings.Valid driver's license & clean driving record.Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)Prior Tesla, Toyota/Lexus, Hyundai/Kia, or BMW/Audi/Mercedes hybrid/EV experience.Tesla Toolbox experience.Experience with inverter, OBC, DC-DC, or HV battery troubleshooting.Hybrid battery module replacement or balancing experience.ASE L3 certification or hybrid/EV-specific certifications.Experience training other technicians.If you have strong hybrid experience but want to level up into EVs — we will support training.Compensation & Benefits$30–$45 per hour depending on experience & capabilityFlexible schedule (part-time or full-time)Opportunity to shape the shop’s EV/HV diagnostic processesClean, organized, modern facilityAll high-voltage tools, PPE, and equipment providedA team that values professionalism, safety, and technical growthWhy Work With Us?We are an EV/Hybrid-only shop — no ICE headaches.We prioritize diagnostic excellence, not rushing cars through.You’ll be the lead tech shaping our EV capabilities and reputation.We invest in tooling, training, and doing the job right.You’ll work with a team that supports you, not politics or dealership pressure.Huge growth opportunity as the EV market grows.This is the ideal role for a tech who wants meaningful, future-proof work in one of the most advanced automotive segments.Benefits:Employee discountHealth insuranceWork Location: In person
