To qualify for IT Business Cycle Specialist, your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-12: A comprehensive knowledge of audit readiness, process management and organizational assessments within the DLA Information Operations organization. Acquires the understanding of the Information Technology (IT) life cycle/business cycle specifically in relationship to the support provided for DLA-owned financial and feeder systems, as well as non-DLA-owned financial and feeder systems upon which the Business Cycle Teams (BCTs) depend upon. GS-13: Expert knowledge of applicable public laws, regulations and policies that affect IT life- cycle management, strategic planning, IT investment management and performance management. Supports the analysis and execution of the organizational assessment function as means of process discovery and continuous process improvement. Assists in and tracks the resolution of identified deficiencies to support the assertion of audit readiness of the DLA end-to-end business cycles and address dependencies between internal and external systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
