Responsibilities
- Provide personal services such as bathing and hygienic care.
- Change linens.
- Position and turn bedridden patients.
- Assist with feeding patients.
- Set up equipment and instruments for routine and complex examinations and procedures.
- Performs general maintenance duties such as cleaning and arranging supply carts.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Additional information about transcripts is in this document.Basic Requirement for a Nursing Assistant:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that is equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal Service which includes providing nursing care to patients, setting up or operating medical equipment, and documenting information into an electronic medical record system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).OREducation: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)ORCombination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years total semester hours minus 60) by 60.
