Role Description

As a contractor with D.E.F.E.N.D. Detroit, you will serve as a professional and visible presence responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment at events, venues, private functions, and client properties throughout Metro Detroit. You will monitor assigned areas, control access points, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, assist with crowd management, and provide exceptional customer service while representing the company's commitment to professionalism, preparedness, communication, and prevention. Opportunities are available on a part-time to full-time basis depending on availability, performance, and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Strong Interpersonal Skills and exceptional Customer Service abilities to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, staff, and visitors.
• Experience in Physical Security, including monitoring premises, conducting security patrols, and reporting suspicious activities.
• Knowledge in Personnel Security and Private Security to maintain order and enforce policies as needed.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, handle emergencies efficiently, and make sound decisions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in security or law enforcement is a plus.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods; physical fitness and agility to perform security tasks effectively.
• Certifications such as CPR/AED and first aid are advantageous.
