What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grill Cook - Seasonal Full-Time position at Default (All-EOS Job Aggregator)?
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook grill items such as burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken, pizza, and specialty menu items.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.
- Ensure food is prepared quickly, safely, and consistently according to resort standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grills, fryers, prep areas, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, and restocking supplies.
- Monitor food temperatures and proper storage procedures.
- Provide friendly and professional interaction with guests.
- Assist with special events, cookouts, and seasonal activities hosted by the resort.
Qualifications
- Previous grill cook, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in hospitality, campground, or resort settings.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.
- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment. It will require evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts based on business demands.
- Potential exposure to hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and cleaning chemicals.
This is a full-time, seasonal position working at Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore. Flexible schedule, with holidays and weekends required.
