Status: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:45-9:00am
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour DOQ
The position requires a minimum commitment of one shift per week; additional shifts may be available based on scheduling needs.

Essential Functions
- Serve as part of a team responsible for opening the Sachs Recreation Center.
- Respond to inquiries regarding programs, services, procedures, memberships, and facility rules.
- Address concerns and requests from members, residents, and guests with urgency and appropriate follow-up.
- Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process membership applications and handle monetary transactions.
- Control facility access for authorized members and visitors.
- Conduct facility tours for prospective members.
- Distribute towels and locker room keys to authorized users.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and professional front desk area.
- Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing, and copying.
- Actively promote and market the Sachs Recreation Center to potential members and participants.
- Assist management with enforcement of policies and procedures.
- Perform Manager-on-Duty functions as assigned.
- Represent the Deerfield Park District in a professional, courteous, and enthusiastic manner at all times.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Appreciation for safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Deerfield Park District safety policies and procedures.
- Use good safety awareness and judgment.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions.
- Follow manufacturer safety instructions when using equipment.
- Adhere to agency ergonomic policies and procedures.
Wage Range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
