We’re seeking an experienced and innovative leader of our Media Platforms team to lead and elevate the use of digital, biddable programmatic, and emerging media platforms at our mid-sized healthcare marketing agency. This is a critical role that bridges strategic vision, platform expertise, and operational excellence to ensure the seamless integration of media technologies into client campaigns while driving measurable results.
As the leader of Media Platforms, you will oversee the end-to-end management of media tools and technologies, vendor relationships, and team training. You will work closely with media strategists, analysts, and creative teams to ensure campaigns leverage platforms effectively for precise audience targeting, ROI optimization, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The role also emphasizes staying current with media trends and leading the adoption of innovations that can enhance our capabilities in an ever-evolving industry. Key Responsibilities
Platform Strategy and Innovation
- Define and oversee the agency's strategy for leveraging digital and programmatic media platforms (e.g., Deep Intent, DV360, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, and social ad managers).
- Identify and implement emerging technologies and tools that optimize the planning, execution, and tracking of omnichannel healthcare marketing campaigns.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on ad tech platforms and industry trends, ensuring the agency remains on the cutting edge of digital advertising innovation.
- Collaborate with leadership to align platform strategies with client business objectives, audience needs, and marketing goals.
Campaign Oversight and Optimization
- Guide the execution of media strategies by ensuring proper platform setup, configuration, audience targeting, and measurement frameworks.
- Oversee campaign optimization on programmatic, paid search, paid social, and other media channels to achieve client KPIs such as engagement, lead generation, or conversions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues on media platforms and provide actionable solutions to ensure campaigns run smoothly.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and train teams on how to effectively use platforms to analyze and optimize campaign results.
Team Management and Training
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of media buyers, analysts, and strategists to maximize the effective use of media platforms.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by hosting training sessions, coaching team members, and providing hands-on support with new and existing tools.
- Oversee and optimize the team's workflow and platform usage to enhance productivity, reduce inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with healthcare marketing standards.
Vendor Relationship and Compliance
- Manage key vendor relationships with platform providers, such as ad tech partners, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and data providers.
- Negotiate platform contracts and service agreements to ensure cost efficiency and access to cutting-edge tools.
- Ensure all media efforts remain compliant with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., FDA, OPDP, HIPAA) and informed by specific needs of healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patient-targeted campaigns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media, Communications, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in digital media, advertising technology, and programmatic platforms, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with healthcare-specific media platforms (e.g., Deep Intent, Pulsepoint, IQVIA, Swoop, Crossix)
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with tools such as DV360, Google Ads, Social Ads Manager (Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.), Healthcare DSPs and other healthcare-compliant digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of healthcare-specific advertising requirements, including FDA guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) processes.
- Proven success in building and optimizing ROI-focused media campaigns across a range of channels and platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to connect platform data to actionable insights that improve campaign performance.
- Expertise in audience targeting, segmentation, and data-driven campaign execution in compliance-heavy industries
- Prior experience managing omnichannel media strategies across programmatic, paid search, paid social, CTV, audio and display channels.
- Knowledge of analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with APIs, data integration, or programmatic ecosystem components such as demand-side platforms (DSPs) and data management platforms (DMPs).
