What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Hand (Seasonal) position at Deerfield Flower Farm?
Job Overview
We are seeking a person who wants to be part of the flower farming world. Previous farming experience is preferred, however we are willing to train the right person who wants to work outdoors, get dirty, and help in all aspects of flower farming from seeding and weeding to harvesting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in field preparations like tilling, raking, and adding compost to existing beds.
- Harvest flowers, as well as processing for delivery.
- Weed flower beds.
- Use farm machinery and equipment, including string trimmer.
- Flower deliveries.
Qualifications
- Previous farming experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating farm machinery is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
