Primary Location: United States (US) - California - Torrance Function: Technology (CA) Title: Sr. StarFire Network Receivers & Positioning Engineer - 115081 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Sr. StarFire Network Receivers & Positioning Engineer for JD Intelligent Solutions Group located in Torrance, CA, you will: • Engage with other StarFire Network and Deere teams to ensure delivery of StarFire correction service with 99.999% uptime target • Configure, install and maintain the infrastructure by carrying out installation and maintenance on GNSS reference stations and infrastructure worldwide as required • Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues at StarFire GNSS reference stations • Lead, enforce and create documented processes and procedures • Serve as a technical resource for multi-functional project teams • Provide off-business hour support and participate in on-call rotation VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position What Skills You Need • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to work independently and take initiative • Ability to present technical designs, solutions and point of view in discussions • Ability to travel domestic and international up to 30% • Strong written and oral communication skills • Desire to gain further knowledge and experience in GNSS technologies • 3+ years of experience with GNSS receivers and technologies/satellites What Makes You Standout • Experience with Cisco Networking Equipment (Routers, Switches and LAN/WAN technologies) • Experience with Linux/Unix Operating System Education Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent) What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
