Landscaper/Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control to keep turf healthy and vibrant.
• Maintain landscape features such as flower beds, shrubs, trees, and hardscape elements like pathways and patios.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, trimming, pruning, and general groundskeeping.
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal with appropriate equipment such as chainsaws and tree trimmers.
• Operate heavy machinery like excavators for landscaping projects or construction tasks as needed.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas.
• Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for visitors.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools.
• Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or snow plows.
• Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming and pruning.
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to safety.
• Prior experience in construction or hardscape installation is a plus.
